ANGELA WILLIAMS, Ministry assistant
Angela is new to the Anniston/Oxford area. She moved from the Asheville, NC area over the summer with her husband. Angela grew up in Montgomery, AL and married her high school sweetheart, Alan. They have two grown children: Jonathan (wife Hannah) and Sara.
Angela and Alan have lived in Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina over the past 32 years. She started out in banking and when she had children, became a stay at home mom. During all the moves, God provided various part time jobs in church ministry and subbing in public schools so she could still devote time to her most important role, mom. Angela has been a nursery/preschool director, sub for church weekday preschool, Interim Director for church weekday preschool, paid nursery worker, Children’s Director for birth—6th, and most recently, office assistant for a church. She has been involved in women’s ministries and the international interdenominational group, Moms in Prayer.
On June 22, 1980, Angela accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Over the years she has seen how God has worked in her life. Angela believes in the power of prayer and has seen God answer prayers over the years. She believes the church needs to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ and go out to show love, grace, and mercy to a hurting world.
Favorite Verse: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB)
